FAQs
Are they dishwasher safe?
Whilst it is not recommended that you put your hand made ceramics in the dishwasher, I do it all the time on the top shelf. What you’re supposed to do is hand wash in hot soapy water to reduce the wear and tear of the glossy surface.
Are the items food safe?
Whilst many seconds may include “pinholes” in the description, this is a matter of aesthetics and not one of food safety concerns. All items are fired twice, sometimes even a third or fourth time and the clay has been vitrified at cone 6 (approx. 1220°C). To clean your ceramics, a thorough wash (preferably in the dishwasher) is recommended. Find out more about the food safety of crazing and pinholes from the Ceramics Art Network here.
What if my item is broken in transit?
All care has been taken when packing your ceramics. If you do find that the delivery man/woman has been a little reckless and has broken your ceramic in transit, please get in touch and we can find a solution. I will offer a shop coupon or a replacement at the same price range if available. If you drop your ceramic, unfortunately, I do not replace/refund this type of damage.
